Solid first opening debut for the 5k this season. Went out and felt really strong and comfortable throughout the entire race. My goal was to run a smart race and be mentally tough. While I was on a decent pace I know I closed in a 35 which really hurt my time :( Overall I'm still happy with the progression of my fitness because last week I went out just 4 seconds faster for my 3k and felt like I was dying. Had way too much energy left at the end and I know I can do better, but still a positive step forward. Foot didn't hurt during the race and either did my lower ab which has been bugging me since Wednesday. Gonna have to take a break from the 5k for a bit but I'll give it another go at Steven's Point!
