Notes

Wow, very pleased with this effort because I had absolutely no idea I was going this fast. Had therapy done at 12 and I was told that I had Achillies Tendonitis and that I should take a week off. Told him "yeah of course" but I knew there was no way I was doing that. Ran out to do the Lincoln Loop and I was already getting pretty toasty about a mile in. Did that loop plus the small extension and then instead of heading back to my house I took the Riverwalk and followed that path all the way to Knock Knolls. By this point in the run I was very dehydrated and my mouth was covered with nasty salt. Did the Full perimeter loop that's just short of 3 and then headed back home. The last 2 miles were really rough mentally because I wanted to stop so badly and I could tell I was starting to shut down a little. Legs actually felt strong throughout the whole run and even though my form got worse near the end I never broke down. Really glad I didn't stop for water because I was luckily able to time this run just right and never had to stop. This run was hard, but only because of the heat and hot wind. Body is holding up very well to this high mileage. 6:04 pace may not be "flying" but considering they felt like 6:20's and the heat was killing me I'll take it. Last 3 miles I just kept thinking about Nationals and that helped me keep up the pace.
