Notes

Literally came into this today with 0 epectations except to run fast and run tough. We had a really weird start, I was talking to Brodeur when they suddenly yelled go on the microphone so I had a delayed start. A few jackasses ran to the front and cut all of us off before walking but after that it was Root, Brady and I leading into the wind. Despite the terrible start, first mile was still a 4:53 which is faster than I've ever gone out here. Us 3 continued to stay in the lead at the 1.5 mile marker and then after that I tried pressing a little and was 1-2 steps in front. Root started making moves and we came into the 2 mile at 9:48 which was slower even though I was trying harder. After that Andrew Nelson caught us and it was just us 3 for the rest of the race. I got a slight lead with 800 to go and tried to break him but at the 3 mile he passed me and then with 100 meters to go or so he turned on the afterburners. Didn't kill the finish but after he dropped me I knew I just didn't have the turnover to catch him. Ended up running 14:52 which is a great 8 second PR on this course despite it being 20 degrees out and windy. Very happy with it. Nelson must have started farther behind us because on the results it says he beat us by a full 10 seconds somehow, even though he only beat me by like 5. Egh whatever, I just can't seem to win this race haha. All the NCC guys ran amazing today, very solid start going into winter training.

Results:

1. Andrew Nelson= 14:47 (Course Record, results had chip time 5 seconds faster but it was wrong)

2. Mitch Gilbert= 14:52 (Tied Old Course Record :/)

3. Ryan Root= 14:53

4. Kyle Brady= 14:56

5. Mathew Stewart= ????

6. Muth Muth= 15:30( sorry Muth, not 15:00 but still great in trainers!!)

7. Ben Dickshinski(Paced Muth and got kicked down..of course)= 15:34

Drendel ran a great race and PR'd running 16:13 and Burkwald ran pretty solid after just dicking around the last 2 weeks and ran 16:20.
