Awesome run today! Felt really fluid and in control the whole time. Brady, Spain, Some Wheaton Alumni, David McWilliams and I were the lead pack with a few other randoms. Around the 2 mile Brady made a defining move to drop everybody and I actually thought about going with him. However, last year I died on the 2 mile stretch so I just picked it up and waited for all the guys who went with Brady to drop. All of them did except for McWilliams so I ran with Spain and this 25 year old with just arm sleeves on. Felt really in control and tried kicking with 600 or so left. It actually worked and I held 3rd place until the finishline. Really a fun race and I wasn't completely exhausted or anything afterwards. Glad to see that this felt smooth where as last year I was 50 seconds farther back and dying. Excited for winter training!
