Notes

I ran today to honor the passing of my Grandma Vicki. Grandma was 98 so I decided to run 9.8 miles or 98 minutes, whichever came first is when I would stop. Since today was a LSD run I slowed my pace. Toward the end of my run I saw that I could hit both of my goals. I ran 9.8 miles in 98 minutes to honor my Grandma's virtuous life here on earth.

I will always remember playing in her yard, the toy box, the candy dish, cheez whiz, white stuff, the tea set I would make tea in, the copper knick knacks... Memories.

As I ran I thought about how my Grandma passed now that is Spring. Since she loved flowers so much, it was a perfect time for her to enter heaven. She will begin a new life just as new life begins each Spring. I was reminded of this as I ran and saw new buds on trees, bluebonnets starting to bloom, and the wildlife around me.

I haven't been running much lately. I really can't explain why. Now that it is Spring and my Grandma has new life in heaven, I will revive my running life. I needed Grandma to remind me that Spring is a time for new life.

God Bless you Grandma Vicki.
