13:52.15 to win Heat 5 of the Valentine 5k. Went to the front on lap 1 and stayed up there pretty much the whole way. Ran with a lot of confidence and composure which is a good sign, closed in a 28.0.
I spent 4 years dreaming (and dreading) about running sub 14 and glad it’s done now. Happy with the result but still hungry for a lot more. Excited to mix it up at Big East with some of the best guys in the country. Most of all, just grateful for the three coaches, two sets of teammates, and one family that helped me get back to this level.
