Want to feel really good on your run and recover from an injury? Sleep 12 hours. My calf didn't feel 100% when I woke up, but it loosened out after puttering around the apartment. It felt just fine on the run. It helped that it 54F and sunny today. It was drop dead gorgeous today, there was still a lot of ice around today, but it was warm enough not to wear pants or tights, you could smell the pine trees (on that front it helped that there was some logging going in the forest), and you could see sunbeams bouncing off the Seetaler Alps.
