Felt really tough, and not quite sure why. As I mentioned in the warmup note, I was wearing spandex pants and they really felt restrictive, like I was having to work extra hard to move my legs. So that could have cost me in terms of efficiency. Though overall, I was on-pace for the workout (as a whole). I just missed goal time on the first interval by about 3 seconds. Goal pace was 2:52 per 800m with a rest of approximately 86 seconds.

INJURY NOTE: Things have gotten a litte worse with what I think may be shin splints on my left leg. On the medial side, low on the calf (just a bit above the achilles). I've also suddenly developed right knee pain in a new location: on the top of my kneecap. I'm guessing that it's exacerbated by the increase in mileage, but also by the fact that I've now run 7 days in a row in an effort to justify taking time off during the Christmas holiday. Stretching and massage on my calf seemed to improve things throughout this past week, so I'll continue to do that - just hoping I can make it through this week without making things much worse.
