In the last 8 days I've run 59.27 miles. Didn't really want to do the group run this morning so I decided to wait till it warmed up and did my own thing starting from home. My legs were good for most of this run, tried to keep the pace around 8:30, stopped at the natrure center for water after doing the new greenway at the end of Beech Bend. Then went up on the road in warner park. I had forgotten just how much elevation you can get up there. Didn't remember all the turns so ended up doing a few more hills than I meant to. (Actually heading into the park was spur of the moment as I pretty much made this run up as I went along). Did pretty well on the hills but by mile 10 I was thirsty. I had just come down on the back side of Warner and I was almost by the airplane field so I ran over there hoping the fountain was on. It wasn't so i got a little water from the faucet in the restroom but it tasted really Chlorinated so I didn't take much. The hydrant was on at the first big pavillion back in Warner though so that was good. But I was starting to tighten up a little even then. Took the most direct route home which was the HRG to the baseball fields to Harpeth bend back across to sawyer brown and then home. Got almost exactly 16. Didn't feel as good as last weeks 20 but I was going quicker and I hadn't eaten or hydrated much before I started and I didn't have all the gels and water/gatorade that was available on the striders run. I spread 1 package of blocks out over the whole 16 miles and basically had water at miles 7 and 11.
