Workout: 4 miles warmup, 3x3 miles at 5:40-5:45 with 1km jog at 6:15 pace, 2 miles Cooldown.

Wanted to run about a half hour earlier but I left the house a bit late. By the time I started my warmup, the temps were in the low to mid 60s and it felt like the humidity was higher than usual. My legs also didn't feel as fresh as I had hoped for, that was sort of expected as I've really haven't backed off too.

The airport loop is 3.68 miles, so I'd basically be running 3 loops. The first couple miles is flat and the third mile has a couple decent hills (~150m) from an overpass.

The first 3-mile segment felt pretty smooth and was able to run even splits of 5:43s (17:09). The recovery jog at 6:15 pace felt okay after about a 1/4 mile. On the 2nd segment, I wind was pretty strong, but luckily it was only for about a 1/2 mile. I felt good for the most part but I really had to stay focus to stay on pace. Ran 5:42, 5:42, 5:39 for 17:03. After the .65 recovery, I stopped for a very short moment to take in some fluids. At this point i felt like it was very warm and needed something to drink. I got right back on the course for the last segment. On this segment, I felt most controlled. Finished with a 5:40, 5:40, and 5:38 for 16:38.

Overall, it was a good workout, but it wasn't that easy. The legs felt fatigued in the end, but not completely tired where I couldn't run more.
