Workout: 3 miles warm-up, 10 minutes fast, 3:00 jog, 6:00 fast, 3:00 jog, 3;00 fast, 6:00 jog and repeat :) , 2 miles cooldown; For the intervals, start at 5:30s, 5:15ish, 5:00ish.
Man, this was probably the warmest and most humid morning so far. I wasn't sure how fast I would be able to run, so I ran according to what felt like the right effort/pace. I ended up averaging 5:33 pace for the first 10min, 5:22 pace for the 6min, and 5:12 pace for the 3min in the first set. On the second set, I felt controlled for the 10min running 5:35ish pace. However, when I got to the 6min fartlek, things felt really tough. I could only manage to run 5:30 pace. I thought about calling it for the day, but decided to tough it out for the last 3min (5:12 pace).
Overall, it was a good workout in very tough conditions. I averaged 5:28 pace and covered 6.97 miles for the fast running.
