Workout: 18 miles easy/medium.

Back in Maryland for the weekend. Wasn't sure how I would feel on the long run after making the long drive late last night and only getting about 5-6 hrs of sleep. I wanted to get out the door by 7, but I knew that wasn't happening. Got out the door around 8:30 and it was already hot and humid. The only good thing was that it was overcast.

Plan was to run the first 9 miles easy and then the last 9 medium. Was thinking 6:15-6:30 pace would be good enough for the medium portion since it was hot. The first nine felt fairly easy but consisted of mostly rolling hills. The last half was on the downtown loop. I felt good running in the 6:20s. I stopped at the track (~mile 12) to get some water and then again at 15 for a pit stop. The heat got to me and I was pretty much done after 17 miles. The last mile was all about just getting home.
