Notes

Weather: 33 deg with light snow. Not sure what's going on with the weather. It's the end of March and we're getting snow. Good thing none of it stuck to the roads.

Ran the downtown loop and then Blenheim/Earlton/BulleRock. The first 10 miles were fairly flat and then the last 10 quite hilly. Legs felt a little sluggish for the first couple miles, but loosened up as the run went on. I thought that I would feel heavy legs on the hills, but I actually felt strong. Blenheim was tough because of the long gradual hill and 10-15mph headwinds. Once I got on Earlton, I felt like I was rolling very comfortably. Was surprised that I was hitting 6:30-6:40 pace because it felt more like 6:50ish. The last 3 miles were faster splits because it was a gradual descent and a nice tailwind. I just rolled with the pace which felt comfortable.

This was a really good run considering the amount of intensity and volume (72 miles before the long run). I feel confident that I'll run well on the hills.
