Notes
My inner-alarm woke me up at 4am (6pm est). I couldn't go back to sleep so I got up and had a coffee and checked email. Plan was to get out the door for my run at 5am, but didn't keep track of time and finally got out at 5:25.
I didn't know how my legs and body would feel on the run with the timezone and elevation change, so I ran easy for the first few miles. Realized that I was feeling good, so I decided at 30 min into the run I threw in some longer strides, 12 x 1:00 on/off. Ran the fartlek at a fast, but controlled pace probably about 5:20ish. It actually felt good to get the leg-turnover going. 2 mile cool-down.
