Ben's Memorial Mile
What a pleasant surprise! Ran with Emma B and Emma Grimes in a nice pack for the first 800, put in a little push on the third lap because I was feeling pretty comfortable. I think we caught some high school boys. Felt like I finished pretty strong and right with Emma B. I'm mostly happy with this since no training went towards it so it means I'm in pretty darn decent shape from doing base mileage going into the first week of XC workouts. It also gives me a confidence boost going into the first week of XC workouts. We had an awesome group of IXC/Illinois Elite people at the race too!
I'm going to miss you very much Emma B but you're going to do great in San Francisco!!!!!
