Peak long run for Boston!

After very very little sleep, I woke up this morning and had a bagel with peanut butter and an apple and some energy chews I plan on using for Boston (not enough to eat). My left knee was feeling kind of weird this morning, like stiff/kinda sore/felt weird to bend. I have no idea why. It didn't hurt during my run to the armory/the rest of the run so I was hoping it was just a weird ache that would go away.

Met up with Lexy, Richard, and Leonel to start the run (Statues). Lexy can't come to long run because of work so we met up at 8 instead of 9 to do hers. I wasn't really checking my watch during Lexy's run but I knew we were moving fast. Then got back to the armory and ran 10 more with Willy and Richard (Country Club Hooters Extension). I continued to not check my watch and instead listened to Willy and Richard go back and forth (really entertaining). Definitely one of those runs where all of a sudden we had 4-5 miles to go and I didn't feel too bad. The last 2 miles were kinda tough though but I imagine that's from no sleep and not enough food, a mistake I wouldn't make when it comes to the race.

Didn't do a stellar job of taking care of myself once I got home because I was so focused on going back to sleep. Left knee did not feel better as I had hoped. And then later in the day my right knee got kinda stiff/sore (similar pain to left). Sometimes when I run really far my knees feel stiff and achy so I'm hoping it's just that. Took advil and iced today. Might take tomorrow off or swim and will probably skip the Tuesday workout and do something more Boston related Wednesday.

Overall, really proud I got this done and that we held such a nice pace- definitely a confidence boost. Definitely couldn't have done it without everyone.
