PEAKS

Got to the track and it was raining and cold and didn't have the highest hopes for this race but this one turned out better than I expected! 18:47 is a seasonal PR for me and 2 seconds off of my lifetime PR (18:45). There were only 7 girls in our heat with a range of times not meant for pack running. I did the 15 min warm up and like one round of high knees/butt kicks and no strides lolz. I was talking to my parents and Straw because I was delighted to see them. (Maybe I should have warmed up better) I went out with the unattached runner seeded 18:40 except that was a slow seed time since she ended up running 18:21. But she pulled me to a quick 5:50ish first mile. Then I fell off and was running alone and chasing Megan, Riley, and Noel. Having them to catch up to was incredibly helpful. But overall this race felt pretty smooth. Finishing the season running a race alone that is also a seasonal PR is something I'm proud of. Really indecisive if I should end my season or not since this race was more successful than I thought it would be. But honestly I might just stop and study for finals because I've got a lot of scary borderline grades and put this positive ending as a platform to start XC training. Still deciding, we'll see.

I hope Peaks grows to Club Relays size someday

Leonel Rodriguez

congrats on having a great race at this meet. It's always hard when you're running by yourself most of a race. This season i started running with the girls. Although it was when I wasn't feeling the best, it was enjoyable because I probably wouldn't have talked to you guys as much otherwise. Best of luck on finals and in XC

PS It took me 10 minutes to figure out what Muneeb was saying, then I read the next comment and Anneliese already said the answer
