Notes
Another tragedy happened where I was separated from my other 3k racers. But as megan pointed out this way we could all cheer for each other. This race started out slow. The first 2 or 2.5 laps felt very easy and I knew they should have been faster but I didn't want to be the one person that sprints away in the second lap. Then in like the fifth lap this group of blue and yellow girls started going so I went with them. From lap like 7-10 it was me and this other girl trying to get away from each other. In the end I came in second. But a 19 sec PR! I was happy with this race and my time and looking forward to future races. The best part was that my Dad drove out to see my race and surprised me and we went out to lunch. I think he just wanted to see me too but it made my whole day so much better. And shout out to Megan and Lauren for getting me a donut on the cool down!!
