10:1 intervals x 5. High quality run. Made a conscious effort to run slow because of heat and having already been at zoo all day. Felt good most of the way, somewhat hot, sinuses burned a little toward end, felt like I was breathing a little hard and had my pulse a little high at end. But all in all very good. Ate snack a little before running and also drank a little Gatorade. Good day.
NOTE: Originally I thought I did the run in my target pace zone. However, I realized I had miscalculated and left out the walk intervals. This pace is slower than both my easy run/long run pace. However, given the heat and the fact that I haven't been doing a lot of miles lately, I don't feel bad about it. Nevertheless, given that I am trying to learn my pacing it is useful to know that today's pace is slower than target.
