My first official race in the United States of America. Just the day bevor we came back from being 4 months in Switzerland. And not only did the jetlag do wonders to my run, a little cold didn't help me either. Moreover, all my clothes were still packet away so I had to run in my normal clothes.
So off we went at 10AM; me and Donald Dong. The first 3 miles were not bad, we're running smooth. Despite the info I received from Donald that water will be handed out during the run, that didn't happen and I started to feel it. At the 3 mile marker I had to slow down - to a walking speed. I told Don to go ahead and I'll catch up with him later. Yeah right. My Jetlag, cold and dehidration kicked in full gear. From mile 3 to the finish line I walked and ran. Bib #: 8873.
