My first race in the west coast... and I had not a good time doing it. I trapped myself into reaching something hence pushed the whole race and it wasn't fun. I reached my goal but taste only a limited sadisfaction. On the other hand, it's great to push yourself once a while to see what's really inside you. I went out did a good 1st mile in 6:05 but then slowed down a bit because I was simply out of air. At the end I did a 7:34 minute/mile race.
