12K + 10x1000m
Run started off very well, I felt great and was ready to run. At mile 4.5 I started feeling very hungry / queasy. My pace dropped but I was still pushing my self and feeling uncomfortable. I was un happy with my pace and was trying to talk my self out of doing the track workout. I finished the 12k and after the 5 minute break my legs felt ok but my stomach was still unhappy, I was going to see how I did trying to run fast, but most of my focus was on just finishing all 10 1000s
As I ran the 1000's I really started to get sick, I knew I was running slow but the effort level felt very high. it took a lot to finish, I finished and was still feeling bad. I forced my self to take in water and recoverrite. As I drove home from the track I was feeling worse,
About 10 minutes after getting home I started vomiting and got the chills for about 1 1/2 hours. fell a sleep for about an hour woke up feeling better. Michelle (today she ran a PR at champoeg in the 10k) was very helpful and she took very good care of me, getting me lots of water and made me blueberry pancakes. fun Saturday night!
I was able to take a 2 hour nap between AM and PM workout and only ate vegetable soup. Feeling much better now (11:46pm) and ready for a good nights sleep. The PM workout did not go as planned, but today I'm happy to just finish.
