Longest Run since February 20th.

Started out at Kline Creek Farm on County Farm Rd and headed west on the Great Western Trail. Jane joined me on the bike. The first section was long, straight and slightly downhill the entire way. I knew that even though I felt good then that the way back was going to be rough. We eventually hit a point where the GWT hits the IPP and angles more northwest. I had never been on that stretch before but I really enjoyed it. There were very few roads that we had to cross and it the woods were pretty dense the entire time. I kept going until we got to Pratt Wayne Woods at 50min and then turned around. I had been hitting pretty much 6:55 right on the dot the whole way out but brought it down to a few 6:45s on the way back and eventually dropped a 6:30. I didn't feel great but I felt strong. We had to stop to cross a road with about 3 miles left and at that point my legs and back really tightened up. I was never able to get back into a good rhtyhm and was probably a little over 7min pace for the rest of the way back. Took a slightly longer way back over the last 3 miles than we did on the way out. I was a super ready to be done. Overall this was a really encouraging run though and I'm happy that I'm able to continue adding mileage to my LR each week. This was probably a bit longer than I should have gone considering the low mileage the rest of the week, but that's okay.
