My first day off of work in a while. I planned on taking advantage of it by doing a workout in the afternoon. To have extra time after last nights softball game to open up and wake up was going to be a luxury. I knew it was going to be hot but I thought I'd still tough it out. At least in theory. Once I woke up this morning and had to face the reality of doing a workout in the middle of the day I decided that getting out the door this morning wasn't such a bad thing. Of course, once I got going I was reminded of all the reasons I wanted to wait until afternoon. I was sore tight and tired. My hammy was nowhere near as bad as yesterday but I could still feel it. Over the course of my 2.5mi warm up I vacilated between doing the workout or not. I got back to the track and tried to do some strides to open up. It just wasn't happening. So I stretched out for a bit, did some form drills and called it a day. I may end up still heading out this afternoon or I may just cut my losses and get something nice in tomorrow and/or Saturday. We'll see.
