Better workout than the pace indicates. Went straight into a 2k from the warm up. Then took two laps down. 1600 up, a little over 800m down, 1200 up, 400 down, 800 up, 200 down, 600 up.

My in between jogs were about 8 min pace but that's because I ran them with some other guys who happened to be out at the track doing 800m repeats. A faster pace would have made for a better workout but it was nice to have some conversation too.

The Wheaton football practice was going on and there were some other older people getting in workouts too. Made for a nice atmosphere.

As you can see, my times were not blazing but my goal was just to get continuous running in while spending time around half marathon pace on a hot day. Workout was hard but definitely didn't kill me. I don't want to get soft and come up with excuses to not hit my workouts hard but I also want to be smart and avoid spoiling my whole week on a hot morning like this.
