As I left to go to the Arboretum I realized that I had left my keys inside my house...my locked house. Neither of my roommates were going to be home until after 9. So I gave my parents a call (thankfully I had my phone with me) and decided to just run over to their house through Fermi. At least I would still be able to get a run in and be able to finish at a place where I could shower and change clothes. It's actually only about 7.5mi from my house to theirs but I added on a loop along the Fox River Trail. Overall this was a solid building run that I felt pretty good about. I kept my money and cell phone with me (instead of keeping them on my front porch) by putting them in the pocket that goes along the back of the vest I was wearing. It was annoying to have them bouncing around the whole run but I got used to it after a while. Definitely a lemonade out of lemons situation.
