Good group - BS, Henz, Krump, Enright, Roland, Greg and I. BS turned off to head back to his house early and Roland turned back early as well. I think everybody except Henz was overdressed. It was deceptively pleasant out. Our route took us out to Green Valley. It's nice to be able to hit the forest preserves but the trail was pretty rutty and hard to navigate because it was still pretty dark out. Once we got out of the preserve and onto 79th street I started feeling really good. As we came back Modaff-style and headed up the hill just past 75th I decided to open up a bit. By the time we got back into the subdivision I was itching to really take off. So Henz and I kept picking it up. Once onto Charles we were at 5:45/6min pace. Right around Gartner Henz dropped me. My back, glutes and sides all cramped up. It was ugly. I was probably struggling to maintain 7min pace between Gartner and Prairie. I was able to bring myself back together after Prairie though and still finish well. Last 1/2 mile was 2:46 and the last 2.5 miles were 14:49. Overall, a really solid run.
