Headed out to the Arboretum for a run before work. Planned on going 80-90, but that didn't happen. For most of my first loop there was fresh snow to run in along the shoulder. This provided great footing along with fantastic scenery for the run. By the time I started my second loop, the plows had made it all the way around and it was just a thin coating of slick road all over. So my pace slowed down significantly and every step was treacherous. That wasn't very fun. At about 8 miles I could feel the achilles starting to hate me and the back tightening up so I decided to head back to the car and call it a day.
