Notes

2.4mile warmup (15:01- 6:29, 6:18, 2:19), 1500m race (4:07.51), and 3 mile cooldown (17:22- 6:00, 5:47, 5:35). Good race, it's been awhile since I've done something that fast-ish...felt good. I probably should have surged with Joel but oh well, got a hard workout in. My hamstrings were absolutely dead as Cooper and I kicked down the homestretch which was good bc that means I was going as fast as I could at that point , but the rest of my body and breathing was fairly comfortable. A little windy out there, not to bad, but I decided to break the wind for everyone since no one wanted to ( if I didn't we probably would have went out at a 68-70 rather than a 64 I'm sure, haha). But I settled quickly into 5k pace for the next 2 laps which I shouldn't have, and I still have to work on that- getting my mind out of cross country/10k race mode. I noticed when I surged at the 200m I felt fine, which meant I probably could have kept it up for a lot longer if I had surged earlier, it was only when I switched into the next gear on the homestretch that my hamstrings were toast. I'll keep that in mind for next time ( if there ever is a next time).
