Notes

Long run day. I've decided that even when I have a Saturday workout, I want Sunday's long run to be quicker paced. This should help in my half marathon, to be grinding low 6s at the end of a long run with already tired legs. Provided that I take Monday really easy, this should work and help me get stronger. A little overdressed today with temperatures in the afternoon in the 40s and breezy (I'm not used to running with the sun up haha), so I sweated pretty good on this run, but that's also not a bad thing. First 7 miles were north, long stretches of slow uphill, digging down to 6:49 pace for miles 6&7. Wind was decent, but slightly at my face. I turned around and headed back. I sat in the 6:20s for awhile and closed in 6:09 on pretty tired legs.

Very pleased with this weekend. Got a solid tempo run in followed by a medium-difficulty long run. I'm feeling the strong fitness I had this summer starting to come back. This week I'm going to throw in a 15x1min on/off workout to begin working on leg speed once every two weeks as well. If I'm gonna run some 5ks indoor and outdoor, I have to be able to hold sub-5 pace for them.

Last thought: no breathing problems on this run. In fact, I stood and breathed deeply for awhile after this run, and it felt FANTASTIC. Of course, it was warmer, so idk
