Notes

There was basically nothing good about this run today. I was breaking in my new Hokas, so of course my legs and feet felt weird because it's an adjustment. My legs in general felt ok, but my shin was a little sore, so I cut the run early just to make sure. It was 75 with 100% humidity, which is miserable for running. I really need to start getting up at 6am instead of 7am, with the sun out it just plain sucks. Also, I couldn't do strides, because some random ass school maintenance guy drove up to me and told me that the grounds are closed. Well no shit they're closed, but that doesn't change the fact that I've been doing this exact same thing 3-4 times a week for the last 2 1/2 months, and MANY times (including TODAY) police have driven past me, looked at me, acknowledge me, and done nothing. Another school maintenance worker is out here all the time and does NOTHING, in fact he WAVES at me. The school superintendent has been in parking lot when I'm running and he does NOTHING. I don't know why this guy felt the need to enforce this rule. I didn't fight it because I know he was right and could've called higher ups or the police, but seriously I have run out here dozens of time in the last few months and only seen 2 other runners and a couple of maintenance workers. Why enforce this rule? Who on this planet am I bothering or endangering? Why not leave me alone? So I flipped him off while I drove away because I have no self-control and serious anger problems that Ingrid and I talk about a lot, but I was proud that I didn't mouth off to him when he came over (that took a lot of self control actually). I'll start coming here early enough that if he shows up for work at 8 like he did today, I'M ALREADY GONE BITCH
