Notes

First hard workout in the last couple weeks. Warmed up to U-Park and did 2x1k and 2x800 backwards. For the 1k's I started at the 1000 and ran to the start line, then jogged to the 1000 and did it again. For the 800s I started at the 800 and ran to the start line, then walked to the first (normally last) turn, and then jogged to the 800 again. After that I cooled down. I didn't check my watch any more than start and finish, and went completely on feel. Times were 3:15, 3:05, 2:20, 2:18. The first thing that surprised me was how quickly I got tired. I was exhausted after the first 200 of the first rep. The second thing that surprised me was how well I could maintain pace even when I was wheezing. I mean, I was hurting but I could keep pushing. My fitness is still there :) it'll just take a week or so to get it back. Afterwards I stretched, rehab-ed, and iced.
