Notes

Workout today. Hamstrings were pretty tight from weightlifting yesterday. Went through the warmup and went to U-Park for 3x2k. It was supposed to be at 5:05 pace with 2:00 jog recovery, and we came through the 1600 in 5:02, 5:03, and 5:04 for the respective runs. I didn't know the exact location of the 2k and my watch died, so we didn't get exact splits, but I know I didn't slow down after the 1600 on any of them. I felt fluid and comfortable today- nothing was outside of my comfort zone and I could have done a few more. I felt strong basically. Then Cataldo, Drew, Kirk, and myself went to the track for 5x400 at mile pace with 2:30 recovery. Of course mile pace is slower now than during indoor track, so I stuck around the 63-64 range, and I felt REALLY good. I honestly felt better after each of the 400s than the one before. Overall I'm very happy with today because I'm starting to realize just how fit I am compared to previous years. Putting in summer work really helps. After the cooldown I did hurdle mobility, stretched, and did core.
