Notes

Finishing off a good week today with a easy grass run at the middle school. Temps were much more relaxing, with temperatures in the upper 60s and dewpoints in the upper 50s, more like ND summer than VA summer. "Below-normal" is what the national weather service says. As a result, I felt smooth and relaxed. Still kind of a tough place to run at times because of how uneven and soft the ground is, but that's ok for recovery. Quads a little sore from yesterday, and I felt it more on the strides at the end. Saw a turkey sitting in the grass by the woods, and I was so confused why it didn't move. I gave it some space. Next lap it got up and walked towards the trees, revealing about 8 little baby turkeys (I had to look it up, but a baby turkey is called a "poult"), which was pretty cool! I also saw a turtle in the middle of my path, so I stopped and looked at it for a while after it hid in its shell. Fun day of running today. Strides and stretched afterwards, but not exercises today.
