WORKOUT: Steady-State Run

ACTUAL: 7 mile SSR

1- just kidding, I don't have splits. Stupid garmin didn't get them again. From what I remember 5:45, 5:47, 5:48, 5:47, 5:4-something, 5:50, 5:50. This worked out really well, because I did the first three miles with Ryan, and then when he stopped because he was done, Scott and Connor were coming down the greenway from the other direction and had just started, so I ran the rest with them (it was just me and Connor at the end because Scott was struggling). Overall my breathing was REALLY good, and my legs felt also really good until around mile 6, and then I started struggling more. I definitely called it quits before I went into the hurt-locker, which is good, because I think I'm still recovering from this weekend, especially in my hips and lower legs. The one happy takeaway for me is that I ran Ryan's whole tempo with him, hopped in with another group, and ran their whole tempo, and then stopped. I hate comparing myself to teammates, but that's an encouraging sign. My cooldown sucked because I was really lightheaded, so I have to keep remembering to take electrolytes before workouts, because that problem refuses to go away. After that I stretched and did strengthening exercises (including core and glutes), and then got my calves foam-rolled. Definitely looking forward to a recovery day tomorrow. I guess next Saturday I'm racing the 1500.
