I ran the merrick 5k race with Summer. The first mile was about 8:20 and we were at 16:20 at mile two. Her breathing was pretty heavy as we rounded mile two.
We kept adjusting where we would pick up the pace and we did so with 1/4 mile to go.
Summer was breathing very hard and was very winded, but she did very well.
