Notes

I ran the monster mash marathon in Dover DE. It was raining/drizzling before the race and did so at certain points during. The wind was at our backs for the first 8-9 miles. Then the wind challenged us for the next 15 and then it was at our backs for the last 2. I was trying to bank a little bit of time while the wind was at our backs. I wasn't sure if it would bite me in the end. It did not. My left hamstring was getting tight but it didn't slow me. My calves were starting to get worn out too as i was running on my toes more.

All felt good and i didn't feel run down at all. I had to make sure i kept telling myself that i was strong and will not walk. I never really felt the need. I figured if Uncle Jim could go through what he is doing, i could make sure i ran the entire time. Once i saw the racetrack from about a mile out, i kept it strong. Once i got closer to the turn into the track, it was emotional. i knew i was pretty quick, but wasn't sure of the time. I ran it in strong and was fist pumping through the finish.

It was an awesome race! Boston 2018, here i come!
