Horrible and magical .... painful and bright ... an experience, not a race. My body is battered, my ankle may be broken ... but I wouldn't have missed it. @#%$ the time.
The next morning, I'm crippled. 60 miles in a week, roughtly 10,000 feet +/- elevation change ... and I'm demonstrably mortal. Who knew?
