4x1k @ ~5k pace for Thursday
Slept in too much and didn't eat anything which didn't set me up too well. Originally wanted to get on a track but then figured since it'll be a road race I should do this on a road. Mapped out almost an exact 1k loop around a block and headed out for this. The first quarter of the loop is all up hill and into the wind which was tough but I knew that was the hard part and then I just had to cruise back down. I was pushing it pretty hard, but not all out. Stomach started hurting during the second one and continued for the third and fourth; didn't hinder the workout too much but definitely made it unnecessarily more uncomfortable.
Goal for Thursday is 15:45 which will be tough. Today was in trainers while the race will be in flats, so that'll help. And obviously this was alone and it'll be easier with even a couple guys around me up front. We'll see what I can do.
Heading up to Grace's this afternoon for a Pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving with her family and I'm bringing the jello.
