Pretty much just a given that it will be hot and humid for Beach to Beacon, and it was. Thankfully we had some cloud cover for most of the course. John Hadcock was wearing green and gold in the corral, so I went over and wished him a good race. He introduced me to Charlie Muse (wearing a USA singlet) as the newest members of Greater Lowell's 60+ team. Left the line just behind them, and decided to chase Charlie to start. Wound up working with him all the way to the finish, which was really helpful. Steady effort across the course was good enough for fifth in 55-59, Charlie was first 60-64 and John was 6th 60-64.
