supposed to be locking in marathon pace on the track, was way too fast. nice sunny afternoon, ridiculous headwind on the back side of the high school track meant a ridiculous tailwind on the front. more important as a rust retardant than anything else, so in spite of the lousy pacing it was mission accomplished.
