Stevenson Alumni Meet. Ran 7 seconds slower than last year, which is a little bit of a bummer. But I know my training is much more consistent than last summer. I have more confidence in it, as well. Came in second overall today. First place was Nate Schneider, who's a sophomore running for Adrian College. Battled it out with Dylan Gaines for a good 2/3 of the race, but he and I were alone the whole time.
First mile was 5:55. I finished at 5:53/mi pace. My time converts to an 18:18 5k. It's a start. Getting back into shape. On a good note, I felt totally fine post-race. I have lots more to give next time around. Also, Team Alumni won! Overall, I spent 5 hours at Delia just enjoying the meet and being around some great people. Michelle Urben even let me hold her 3-month-old baby boy. :)
Noelle and Jess joined me on my WU run. Jackie, Caitlin, Noelle, Michele, and Jess as joined me for some of CD. Did a full WU set before the race. Competed in spikes. Finished with strides and GS after CD.
