This workout was rough. I slept in compressions the night before, because my body's been feeling so dead lately. The humidity on this run bothered me more than usual. I am definitely in a rut and just need to charge through it.
After WU set and stretches, Alexa, Skroll, Jules and I headed to Hawk Island. Jules, Skroll, and I had a 20:00 threshold run. I ended up falling off around 13:00. By the end of the bout of exercise, the gap between us was 30-40 seconds.
I am frustrated with myself, because I have had some great workouts and lifting sessions with my teammates this summer, and I am getting impatient with seeing the results. I think I am putting a lot of pressure on myself for this to be a perfect season and a flawless year of running.
I am lucky to have teammates that pick me up when I'm down and continue to encourage me when I feel like the weakest link. Tomorrow is a new day.
