Notes
Coach prescribed us a shortened long run for today (~10 min. less than usual), but I got lost and ended up doing ~10 min. more than usual...
I took the River Trail all the way to end, and ran through Old Town on my way back to Michigan Avenue. I have run this loop several times before, but this time I decided to take Grand River back instead of Michigan. Grand River splits off at a point, which I wasn't aware of, so I got disoriented and thought I was going the wrong way. Backtracked to get close to the Capitol and took Michigan Ave. toward campus.
My legs are surprisingly fine, and the DOUBLE-DIGIT TEMPS were greatly appreciated. :) Footing on the River Trail was pretty clear, too. I rolled out my plantars with a tennis ball afterward. I think my left plantar is the only part of me that was legitimately upset about the mileage mess-up. The rest of me is feeling calm and capable of managing what is is my control.
I also ran so late in the morning -- and alone -- because I am still having trouble sleeping.
