Early morning workout day with the team. 6-8 x 3:00 at threshold pace, with 1:00 jog rest in-between each. My group (Emma, Alexa, Ali, Raquel, and Brooke) did 8 of these, but I started my CD after 6. I fell off a few seconds back on the sixth repeat and my lungs felt like they took a vacation on this run -- they just weren't taking in as much air as they usually do. Whether I'm in a mental slump or coming down with something, it definitely affected this thing. Can't wait to be mentally and/or physically well again so that I can better contribute to this great group of girls.
The group and I re-converged for most of CD. We did most of our run on the Abbot Trail by the soccer park, but we went out a little too far, making for a long trek back to Jenison.
Finished with a GS set post-run, 1x10.
