Notes
I was just lucky to get to be here. Happy too. That in itself was a victory, even though it was not a PR. I had not ran all week, since the18th, because I had a sprained left ankle. It was all week of worrying that I would have to not come, or have to do the 5K, or just walk the 5K. I did the 8K, and ran about 90%, and walked maybe 5 to 10%. I didn't push too hard, and didn't feel that much in shape, but just started out to see what I could do. Renee' was there and walked with me. She mostly walked, and I mostly trotted, and we had a good time and a good talk too. I was one minute and some slower than last year, which I seem to be doing anyway. But just running the 8K was neat to do. We were waaaay at the end, with one other woman. It was a small race, and Jane Dods was #1 in our age, and I was #2. That was it. However, the people who ran the race didn't include me in the results, so I didn't get my little bit of recognition or ribbon. Renee' didn't like that, and went right up and took a red ribbon out of the box and complained that I should nave gotten it! We went to eat afterwards, and it was a good get away and fun time with Renee'.
