The Great Pumpkin Race - Corvallis, OR. with Renee and Ben. A rainy day. Stayed in Junction last night. drove and met up with others. I have, and do have a little cold, but don't feel sick at all. I had prepared, and trained best I could, and tried my best, but didnt do well. The minor up hill places made me tired. I ended up walking maybe 15% of the race. There was another woman who power walked the whole race. When I ran, I would pass her, but when I walked, she passed me. She was probably in her 60's. All in good spirits, but I would have like to have done better. The best part was that B. had a PR without pressing too hard. Also, I won a pumpkin cheese cake that is great.
