Threshold test, 5 mile time trial:
first 2 miles strong/controlled, about half effort, then RACE to the finish, "best" effort.
1 mile easy CD
This was humbling...midway through, it became clear my best effort wouldn't involve speeding up much (at all, it turns out) toward the end of the run. I felt like I sort of hit a wall the last couple miles. Hopefully this gives us some good data, at least I know what kind of shape I'm in (and what a month off does!).
