Brentwood Firecracker 5k in 17:48 (5:44 pace/mi), 3rd woman (to Clara Santucci and Roberta Groner, who were 17 flat)
*This race went shockingly well... I had a whole list of excuses and was on the fence about running when I woke up (found out my ferritin is 28 Friday, impractical wedding shoes lead to a blister that popped so my flats were incredibly uncomfortable, I hate racing on hilly courses, sleep deprivation...the list goes on!). a lack of expectations was probably helpful, and I just started conservatively behind Steph and Jamie, but felt surprisingly good and ended up passing people the whole time, including a bunch of Hounds guys who are faster than me. 410 ft elevation gain according to Jamie's GPS, so that's not to shabs.
