AeT (M-effort) test
3 mi WU (super easy first mile, HR max 155, then up to 155-165)
then straight into test: 5-7 mi at HR 165-175)
Did this on the oval (flat), and things went well overall....I'm surprised I've felt so good since the 1/2. Wish marathon effort was quicker than low 6:40s, but what can ya do....
One thing worth mentioning--had the weird out-of-control HR thing right at the beginning of the 2nd mile of marathon effort. It feels like my heart is beating out of my chest, and my HR skyrockets--out of nowhere! It's not brought on by crazy exertion (at this point, I'd done ONE mile at M-pace, which felt pretty easy), and I immediately stop and it's back down as quickly as it came up. Happen to have a dr appt tomorrow anyways, so I'll definitely be asking about this. It's always guys who have bizarre congenital heart defects, right?!?!?
